Fixed Asset Management
Asset Management
If your fixed-asset register is a spreadsheet updated once a year for the auditors, finding out where a laptop went means asking around. The asset management system we set up tracks each asset from purchase to disposal: where it is, who holds it, what it is worth and when it was last serviced.
One Register, Always Current
What does it cover?
One register for everything you own: furniture, vehicles, computers, equipment and buildings. Each asset carries its category, location, custodian, cost and current book value.
The register is part of your accounts, not a list beside them. Assets can be created from the purchase, depreciation posts on schedule, and a sale or write-off records the gain or loss.

Six Areas, One System
Everything Behind a Fixed Asset Register
Each area works on the same assets and the same ledger.
Asset Register
Every asset with its category, location, custodian, purchase date, cost and current value. Assets can be created from the purchase invoice, so the register starts from the real cost.
Depreciation
Depreciation schedules per category, calculated by method and useful life. Depreciation is calculated from the schedule and posted to your accounts each period.
Movements & Custodians
Transfers between locations and handovers between staff are recorded with a date, so you always know where an asset is and who is answerable for it.
Maintenance
Maintenance schedules with the team responsible, and a log of each service carried out. The history stays with the asset.
Repairs & Value Changes
Repairs recorded with their cost, value adjustments when an asset is revalued, and capitalisation when components are built into an asset.
Disposal & Reports
Sell or scrap an asset and the gain or loss posts itself. The fixed asset register and depreciation reports are ready for management and the auditors.
How It Works in Practice
From Purchase to Disposal
One asset, followed through its life.
Bought
The purchase is recorded and the asset is created with its cost, category and depreciation schedule.
Issued
It is moved to a location and handed to a custodian, and the movement is recorded.
Maintained
Scheduled maintenance is logged, repairs are costed, and depreciation posts each period.
Disposed
When it is sold or scrapped, the gain or loss posts and the register updates.
Audit Ready
A Register Built for the Audit
The register sits in your accounts, so year-end starts from the system's own reports.
Accountability
Know Who Holds Each Asset
Assets go missing when nobody is answerable for them. The register records who holds each one.
